I will try to make this as short and sweet as possible. It will be tough, because that is not how the build went.
I was asked several months ago if I could build some bar stools that swivel to match some of the clients dining room chairs. I said Yes, of course, because I cannot turn down a new challenge. I figured out very quickly upon starting the build that it was going to be even more challenging and time consuming than I had originally thought. With many curved pieces in these stools and trying to fit them all together it has made everything else I have ever done feel like child’s play. I believe there was over 60 parts I had to cut for each stool. You would not believe me if you looked at the stool and counted them, but when you figure that you have to cut 8 pieces 1/8″ thick and glue them back together in a jig to create a curve, the parts start adding up. All in all, I learned a lot from this project and feel like a grew a lot from this build. I started to really feel like an artist looking at a model and sculpting it into my own masterpiece. I could go on and on about how each part was built and pieced together, but I will just let you enjoy some pictures I snapped along the way.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
